New Contest Seeks Images of Your City

Philips is interested in what makes your city livable and lovable. Is it the street life, the open space, the weather? No matter what it is, they would like you to show them through images.

The format is a new contest on Pinterest called #pinyourcity, which aims to better understand the elements of great places through images posted by people from around the world. Ten winning Pinterest boards will receive health and well-being packs worth between 100 and 1000 Euros. Polis is part of the judging panel, along with the Global Urbanist, the Pop-Up City, Fast Company and other city-related websites.

The contest is open for entries until Nov. 16. Judges will be looking for the most original, creative and inspiring boards that tell the story of what makes each city a great place to live.

Here's how to enter:
  1. Create a board on Pinterest with at least two pins (and no more than 10) — be sure to repin the #pinyourcity contest image within your board.

  2. Tag #pinyourcity in the board name and pin descriptions.

  3. Submit your board through the contest website or @LivableCities on Twitter. If using Twitter, just remember to include #pinyourcity in your tweet.
You can find more information at pinyourcity.philips.com. We look forward to seeing your cities!
