A Movie Set in Google Street View

by Vivien Park

New media artist Yuichiro Tamura's "Nightless" is a short film that takes place in Google Street View. The story is told through images, first-person narration and found recordings of police radio transmissions. From Nebraska to Chiba to Alaska, the protagonist travels through unrelated landscapes that become a unified arc through the viewer's subjectivity. The result of this cinematic assemblage is a fascinating approach to storytelling.

  2. I fascinated, but I am struggling to understand the Japanese accent in combination with a degree of compression related digital distortion.
Please don't think this impolite but some English subs would help greatly with the enjoyment of your intriguing work.
    thank you
